Today remains pleasant with a few afternoon/evening showers

TODAY: Increasing clouds, a few showers after 3pm. High 74.

TONIGHT: Stray shower/storm. Mainly dry. Lo 57.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy, chance of a stray leftover morning shower. Mainly dry daylight hours. Slight chance of late evening showers. High 72.

Yesterday broke the trend of the cool week! High temperatures hit 70° under stellar sunny skies! With the dry air in place temperatures did drop to the low 40s for the coolest valleys early this morning, but we see a nice bounce back in temperatures.

Today stays dry and seasonably mild (temperatures in the low 70s) through at least 3 PM, and likely longer for areas east of the mountains. We do expect some scattered showers and storms after 3 PM as a weak area of low pressure rolls through. Rain totals will be less than a third of inch, but it is enough rain to keep things damp through the evening.

A disturbance will arrive late Sunday night and early Monday morning. While thunderstorms are likely to our north, we may only see a few stray showers by daybreak Monday morning. Then a longer break in the rain is likely for Monday during the day. Another disturbance is likely to pass close by the region by Monday evening, but the latest forecast guidance keeps it south of the region.

The active weather pattern continues then into Tuesday with another chance of afternoon/evening showers as the next area of low pressure from the west slides through. This should not produce a lot of rain across the region, likely less than a 0.50" if not lower.

Wednesday through Friday appears to be a very pleasant weather pattern with high temperatures in the 70s and a long stretch of dry weather. This pattern may extend into the weekend, although some model forecast hint at a chance of showers by Sunday.
