Season One begins and it’s March 1932. Ralph Whelan and the rest of the Indian Civil Service begin the annual move to Simla. Ralph’s sister, Alice, returns to India under mysterious circumstances. Cynthia Coffin prepares the exclusively white Simla Club for the start of the summer season. The train to Simla is delayed when a young boy is found collapsed on the train tracks. Local missionary Dougie and his assistant Leena play the good Samaritan. A mysterious crime leads to a bloody start to the summer season.
While Season Two picks up three years later. Aafrin is secretly fighting for Indian independence from inside the civil service. Does Ralph suspect his disloyalty?
