PARADISE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) - A man died after a tractor-trailer crash in York County on Friday which caused a road closure for a few hours.
The York County Coroner's Office said in a report that an 86-year-old man died at the hospital after the crash.
According to Ted Czech with York County Emergency Management, a 911 call came in at 9:16 a.m. for a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a vehicle on Route 30.
The crash is still being investigated by Northern York County Regional Police, but the coroner's report says that it is believed that the man pulled out in front of the tractor-trailer.
After the crash, the man was trapped in the wreckage. He was freed by first responders and rushed to WellSpan York Hospital where he died from his injuries, the report reads.
The man's identity has yet to be released by the coroner's office, and his cause of death is still pending.
Police, fire, and EMS responded to Route 30 where the road was blocked off between Lake and Canal Roads until 11 a.m.
